what is an AGV?

History’s first AGV, the 1954 Guide-O-Matic, followed the signal of a wire; seventy years later the principle hasn’t changed: the intelligence lives in the installation, not the vehicle. Its rigidity is also its virtue: on fixed, high-volume routes it pays back in 6-12 months, faster than an AMR.

When an AGV makes sense, when an AMR does, and when you want both at once is exactly what we resolve, full table and numbers included, in AMR vs. AGV.
