Who we are

y8y is run by Sebastián Ocampo from Suisse romande, Switzerland. We help hotels and short-stay operators appear in AI search.

What the forms collect

The free property check asks for a property name, a city and an email address. The contact form asks for a name, an email address and a message. The newsletter form asks for an email address and, if you choose, a city.

We use them to answer you, to run the check you asked for and to send the newsletter you subscribed to. Postmark delivers the emails on our behalf.

We keep a request until it is closed and for 24 months after, then delete it. You can ask for deletion earlier at any time.

If you arrived from a Google ad, the form also carries the click identifier and the campaign name that brought you, stored in your browser for 90 days. We use it to learn which ads bring real requests and, if you become a client, to tell Google that the click led to one.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which buttons are used. It records the pages you visit, the buttons you click and the forms you start, together with a browser identifier that Google stores in a cookie.

It runs only after you accept it in the cookie card. If you choose essential only, Google receives no cookie and no identifier, and counts the visit in aggregate only.

Advertising

We advertise on Google Ads. When you send a form after arriving from an ad, we tell Google that the ad led to a request, so that we pay for ads that work rather than for ads that do not.

With your permission, Google also stores a cookie that lets us show you an ad later, on Google and on sites that carry Google ads, based on the pages you read here. This is called remarketing.

With your permission, the email address you type into a form is hashed in your browser and sent to Google, which matches it against signed-in accounts to measure the ad. Google cannot read the address, because it compares hashes. This is called an enhanced conversion.

You can turn off personalised ads for your Google account at adssettings.google.com, whatever you chose here.

Your choice

The cookie card appears on your first visit. Accept all turns on analytics and advertising cookies. Essential only turns them off, and the site works the same way.

Your answer is kept in your browser for twelve months. The Cookie settings link at the foot of every page shows the card again so you can change it.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it.

Write to hello@y8y.ai and we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or to your local authority.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. This version is dated 13 September 2026.
